Rothschild Giraffes.

Drive west descending to the escarpment… you are
now in the basin of the Great Rift Valley then drive on
to Lake Nakuru on to Lake Nakuru National Park. Its seasonal
home of millions of Flamingo and another 450 bird species.
This park is also a sanctuary to the endangered Rhino and
Rothschild Giraffe. Game viewing drive, Lunch. A game drive
through the Lake Nakuru National Park will give you the
opportunity to see the white and black rhinos and other
wildlife.
Depart for Nairobi, arriving late afternoon.

Lunch or dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant is a gastronomic
experience not to be missed. As the name implies, the Carnivore
is famous for its succulent steaks and mouthwatering barbequed
game meats. This restaurant is equally enjoyable for it’s
ambience and festive atmosphere.

Situated at 2,200 meters, thirty kilometers from Nairobi,
is Kiambethu farm. The farm dates back to 1910 and the present
house, set amidst colorful gardens, have been home to four
generations.
Arrive at 1100hrs and over a cup of tea or coffee the process
of making tea is informally explained, followed by an opportunity
to see tea in the field.
Take a walk in indigenous forest with a guide
who will identify the plants and explain how they are traditionally
used. Watch the Colobus monkeys close up and wander in the
gardens, which are home to a wide variety of birds. Return
to the house to enjoy a pre-lunch drink on the veranda with
sweeping views across the tea fields to the Ngong Hills.
Lunch is prepared with vegetables from the garden and desserts
are topped with cream from our herd of Channel Island cows.
Drive back to Nairobi.
