Location: A beautiful lodge located inside the Maasai
Mara game reserve, about 298 kms from Nairobi& a short
drive from the mara river, where more than a million wildbeest
and zebra make their perilous migration. The lodge offers

Location: Maasai Mara's pioneer lodge, Keekorok is sited
on the direct path of the wildebeest migration. At the
height of migration, the lodge is surrounded by a swarming
mass of animals and there is hardly need for a game drive.
Nairobi is 260 Kms away.
Accommodation: Keekorok is in bungalows and single storey
blocks and in comfortable shaded chalets all with 158
beds. Rooms are simply and tastefully furnished, many
with views of the Mara. The lodge's presidential suite
is the best in the Mara. The liberal use of cedar wood,
pink and grey Sand River stone and other indigenous building
materials offset the green lawns and colorful bougainvillea.
Early morning and evening game drives can be arranged
at the lodge. Of course there is no better way to see
the animals and countryside than to drift over the plains
in a hot air balloon at dawn, culminating in that famous
champagne-style breakfast.

and wildlife lectures, game drives in 4WD safari vehicle
organized by the lodge.

Accommodation: The lodge has 200 beds with only 77 rooms,
12 suites and 1 presidential suite, all of which are 'rondavel'
style and have en-suite bathroom facilities which provide
shaving sockets and hairdryers. Every room and suite has
a private, elevated verandah with splendid views across
the valley and on which guests can Relax, sunbathe and
watch resident birds and wildlife. Mini-bars are also
available in each room.
Facilities: The lodge provides a direct-dial telephone,
satellite television and video options. Rooms are also
equipped with drinking water in flasks and bottled water
is available for sale at the guest shop is stocked with
