Kisite Mpunguti Marine National Park is “home of the dolphins”. The park covers an area of 28sq Km and is considered to be the most magnificent of all Kenyan marine parks. The unspoiled, beautiful and sun kissed park lies in the coral gardens south of Wasini island and encompasses four small coral rag forest islands. The surrounding waters have well developed coral gardens and a large variety of fish.

Pick up from your beach hotel. Drive to Shimoni jetty to arrive at about 8.30am. On arrival, board an Arabian Style dhow with comfortable seating. You will be welcomed on board by a cheery crew who will serve you with Kenya coffee or tea with biscuits, followed by a full briefing of all facilities and program on board.
Motor and or sail as you look for Dolphins past Mpunguti on your way to Kisite National Marine Park. Guided snorkelling in the protected waters. Guides safely identify and show the many varied fish and coral. Assistance given with additional use of life rings and buoyancy jackets if required Two snorkelling sites visited or extended snorkelling time – depending on the weather.
Return to a private residence on Wasini Island, a Robinson Crusoe hideaway, for a delicious Seafood Banquet. Chicken and vegetarian options available. Lunch is served in a private garden by smiling Swahili Ladies and includes beer, wine and sodas. Try some special Citronella Tea made from fresh lemon grass grown by Harm on the island. There is the opportunity to look through Marine Literature and identify the creatures that you have seen. Tired after the eventful day, there is reluctance to leave but gradually people are guided back onto the dhow and, weather permitting, you may sail across the Wasini Channel to Shimoni.
