Try something new in your next safari adventure to Kenya and stay in a farm!!
A delightful alternative to more traditional wildlife safari circuits is the farm stay experience. One and half hour’s drive from Nairobi, tucked at the shores of Lake Naivasha is Sanctuary Farm; a unique paradise defying the 21st century. The farm was originally bought by Francis Erskine in the 70’s who was passionate about horses and put in the polo ground, stables and a polo club house.
Since then his children have left the polo ground to go wild and converted the club house into a restaurant and the stables into ten luxurious contemporarily designed rooms. You do not need to leave the farm to enjoy, horse riding, walking, bird watching and cycling in a safe private environment, whilst enjoying the numerous species of wildlife and world class birdlife that are protected on the farm away from the madding crowds. You can opt to simply relax and soak up the country atmosphere. Children will love the thrill learning to milk a cow. Great way to experience authentic Africa

Itinerary details

Day 1: Nairobi to Naivasha
0830hrs meet at Nairobi CBD and take a scenic drive to the floor of the Rift Valley. Stop at view point and enjoy the panoramic views. Proceed to the 400 acre Sanctuary Farm a family owned pasture driven dairy farm covered in pristine Acacia forest on the southern shores of Lake Naivasha
Lunch at the farm
Sanctuary Farm is a bird lover’s paradise. You can enjoy a guided bird walk in the farm.
Engage in farm activities. Children will love the thrill learning to milk a cow.
Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Farm

Day 2: Naivasha to Nairobi
Breakfast
Boat ride. Explore Lake Naivasha by boat. This gives you an opportunity to get closer to rafts of hippo, watch fish eagles darting for fish and experience the lake from the water. The boat operators are skilled and experienced and will always find a safe place for a refreshing swim in the lake on a hot day.
